Auditions: The Cherry Orchard 2015

On Saturday, February 28, 2015, Falconworks Theater Group is will be holding auditions for a late spring 2015 production of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekov. This production will adapt Chekov’s play set in the years before the Russian Revolution to resonate in today’s times of social upheaval. Romeo, Juliet & Gentrification

A cast of community members, including trained actors, adults and young people, with and without theatrical experience star in Falconworks Artists Group’s production of “Romeo and Juliet” from June 5-16 at a waterfront warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Falconworks is re imagining this classic work to highlight the divide between segments of the Red Hook community and provoke discussions of racism, class, and access to political power.
