Falconworks Artists Group is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is to support and empower communities and individuals through theater that addresses personal and local issues.

Falconworks' mission is to strengthen the South Brooklyn community that is our home. We offer opportunities for everyone in our community to engage in meaningful self-exploration and expression through a variety of creative theatre programs.

Our goal is to unite disparate groups in the community in a creative and professional atmosphere through projects that explore community issues, local history, and resident narratives. Collaborations and workshops with professional performing artists provide necessary skills and insure a quality experience. Falconworks encourages individuals to utilize skills learned through theater and performing arts collaborations in other life settings.

Falconworks maintains the core values of self-motivation, self-expression, team building, and discipline.

South Brooklyn consists of four neighborhoods – Carroll Gardens, Gowanus, Red Hook, and Park Slope – that are home to approximately 100,000 people. These four South Brooklyn neighborhoods are living embodiment of New York City’s challenges and possibilities. South Brooklyn families span the economic spectrum of upper-middle class, middle class, poor and working poor. More than 20% of the community’s families receive some form of public assistance. The area’s population is 54% Caucasian, 23% Hispanic, 14% African-American, and 5% Asian-American.

Falconworks has produced plays with other local artistic groups, and will continue to expand our relationships with other organizations and schools in the area. South Brooklyn encompasses a wide variety of arts, community, and social service organizations, as well as 22 public and 12 private and parochial schools.
