Riot Act! The Police Teen Theater Project

The Police-Teen Theater Project, sponsored by Falconworks Artists Group and the Red Hook Community Justice Center, is an innovative program where young people from Brooklyn and police officers who serve their neighborhoods take classes together in improvisational theater.

Young people from Brooklyn combine forces with officers from four NYPD units to create a night of hilarious, moving, and totally unpredictable improvisational theater.

Riot Act! is presented by Falconworks Artists Group, the Red Hook Community Justice Center, and the Irondale Ensemble. Kids Take The Stage!
Falconworks Artists Group's Off the Hook TM program brings teens together with theater professionals to produce original plays. Six young playwrights, with the support of professional writers, actors, and directors, will take center stage in their own plays for an evening of funny, moving, raw, wonderfully original theater.

Past artists have included Arthur Aulisi, Michael Bernard, Chris Burns, Tim Cain, Barnett Cohen, Drew Cortese, Megan Cramer, Lore Davis, Genevieve de Gaillande, Melissa Dowty, Michael Early, Heather Gaye, Shawn Hirabayashi, Haruto Imamura, Liisa Juola, Celine Justice, Jessica Krakow, Eliza Langley-Wilbur, Richard Marson, Angie Martin, Brandon McClusky, Judy Palaferro, Nikki Philips, Brandt Reiter, Jessica Rider, Kristen Rozanski, Shirley Rumierk, Eric Saiet, David Simpatico, Jolie Tong, Noah Trepanier, Becky White, and Reg Flowers, director of the company.
