Off the Hook Workshop Volunteers (16 hours): Attend weekly workshop working one-on-one with youth (11 – 14). Practice Theater of the Oppressed to develop original plays. Workshops runs September 30, 2015 through November 11, 2015 and meet Wednesdays from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
Marketing & Outreach Interns (20 hours): Assisting Falconworks Artists Group’s with marketing and outreach including social media, Web site, creating outreach materials and distribution. Schedule based on student availability and established office hours.
Off the Hook Actors (16 hours): Perform in plays written by youth. Rehearsals are Saturday, November 28, 2015 and Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Technical rehearsals are Tuesday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 9, between 5:30 pm and 10:00 pm. Dress rehearsal is Thursday, December 10 starting at 6:00 pm. Plays presented on Friday, December 11 at 7:00 pm (6:00 pm call) and Saturday, December 12 at 3:00 pm (2:00 pm call).
Production Crew (20 hours): Serve on the production crew for Off the Hook. Crew called at 4:00 pm for technical rehearsal on technical rehearsal on Tuesday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 9 until 10:00 pm. There will be a 4:00 pm call for dress rehearsal on Thursday, December 10. Plays will be presented on Friday, December 11 at 7:00 pm (4:00 pm call) and Saturday, December 12 at 3:00 pm (2:00 pm call).
Load-in Crew (6 – 18 hours): Work with community volunteers and Falconworks Artists Group staff to install setting, lights and sound for Off the Hook. Load-in date is Monday, December 7 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
Design Intern (6 – 18 hours): Work with community volunteers and Falconworks Artists Group staff to provide design support for Off the Hook. Design skills and experience are a must.
